LATELY

Hello everyone!! Just felt like doing a small update on things. How is everyone doing? I've been so so busy lately, with school starting and all. My results from NCEA Level 1 were really good, and I was really pleased, although a couple were so close so I'm a little disappointed, although I'll have to get over it. Did any of you sit exams last year and get results? How were they?!

I'm so sad that holidays are finished, and the days are getting shorter and colder. That sucks. I've been mostly hidden away in my room unless i've been at school, jamming out to Chloe's mixtape on spotify (she has a great taste in music I have to add) with some candles and working away on my laptop. 

As you can see from the photo above, I got this cute little grid board this morning as I've been wanting one for ages. Its still very empty and needs a lot more pictures and quotes and miscellaneous items added to it, but its a work in progress. I'm picturing a monochrome theme with some colours weaved in between. How does that sound?

I'm thinking of starting the 30 day minimalism challenge, and I really want to revamp my entire wardrobe and get rid of things I really don't need. I just need to find the right time to start (I keep putting off the minimalism challenge although I really should just do it.)

Right now I'd really like to buy myself a Kikki K diary, although I'm waiting until they come on sale because I'm the sort of person to buy something right before it goes on sale and then get so annoyed when it does go on sale right after i've bought it..

I need to start planning more blog posts, and I really enjoy making youtube videos, so I'll need to brainstorm a few ideas. If you'd like to see any content here please comment below!!

Oh, and not to forget I made some changes to my blog!! I installed disqus for comments, and changed a few colours from pink to light grey. I really like the plain vibe, I got so tired of the pink and am really glad I did change things up a bit. 

I almost forgot to update you all that I got my braces off!!! It was actually the best feeling in the world and I was so pleased after having them on for over 2 years.

ILLUSTRATIONS

Hellooooooo everyone,

I was quite inspired last night through Pinterest (follow me here) so I made a few little illustrations from some quotes I saw. I didn't come up with the words - I found them on other quotes, but wanted to illustrate them myself so they could suit my style. I think I really need to apply these quotes to my life which is why I chose the ones I did. Its kinda self explanatory so yeaaaahhhh...

(p.s. feel free to print them, pin them or whatever)

So yeah thats it haha. They're a little messy, usually I go back and redo my lettering hundreds of times until its perfect but I wanted these to just be original and not perfected because as the second quote says, perfectionism is self abuse.

hello!

So from one of my posts a few weeks ago (view it here) you may have picked up that I have a thing for interior and home decor etc. I've been browsing a lot of online shops lately and i'm going to share my favourites that i've found over the past week. I'm so in love with copper and monochrome colour combinations...

folder icons

hello everyone! its been a while! today I decided to do a post on changing your folder icons (this is only for mac, sorry!) I created these for myself but decided to share them with you in case you liked the idea.

Here are the pictures you will use as your folder icon- just click and drag them to your desktop to save them to your computer.

After you have dragged them to your desktop, click on a folder you would like to customise and open the options menu like below:

After you have done this, click on "Get Info"

Then, it should come up with this.

After you have this open, find the image you would like to replace the folder icon with. In this case, obviously I chose the one that said "school work".

Open that image and press Command A to select it and Command C to copy it. Now that you have copied the image, you are able to change your folder!

Now click on the small folder at the top (as shown in the screenshot below):

And after doing this, press Command V to change the icon. It should now look something like this:

Do this for the rest of your folders and they will look really unique and customised!

hello everyone! sorry for my absence on instagram and especially on here! i've been lacking inspiration as well as time, and just really haven't been motivated to shoot any posts. i'm really sorry! this is just a filler post for the meantime so bear with me while i try to find some ideas for blog posts! also, if theres something you'd like to see on this blog then comment below what sort of post you'd like me to do!

anyway...

on pinterest i've been pinning heaps lately because I have a small obsession of interior design and décor. It's a little bit crazy but I so wish that I had bedrooms, workspaces and living rooms like the
things I pin. especially those trestle desks, oh my! they are definitely on my wish list....
