THE ULTIMATE CHRISTMAS GIFT GUIDE

1. fitbit flex
2. Kikki k 2016 a5 weekly diary
3. Christian Paul the strand luxe watch
4. kikki k 365 day journal
5. MAc cosmetics lipstick
6. camilla and marc baci cap
7. country road tote bag black
8. quay sugar and spice sunglasses
9. herschel settlement backpack

Hello everyone! Today I have the Ultimate Christmas Gift Guide for you all. What do you think of the black theme?! I know how difficult it can be to find the perfect gift for someone because some people are just soOooOOo hard to buy for. So here are a few suggestions if you are in need, and a brief overview of the items.

1. The FitBit Flex is such a universal gift and can be given to boys or girls of any age, and if you're not so keen on the Flex, you could even go for the better models like the Charge and Charge HR.

2. This kikki K dairy is perfect for the organiser, and because it's black you don't need to worry about if they will like the colour or not as black is basically liked by everyone, so its a win win. If they're not that into planning and organising, consider the 365 journal.

3. I own a Christian Paul watch myself, and they are of really really good quality (100% honest) so it would make such a thoughtful gift for someone special if you're looking for something of high quality. Watches are also universal, so these timepieces can be given to many people of many ages.

4. This 365 journal by kikki K would be a better option than the diary for people who aren't that committed to organising and planning. Still a very thoughtful option...

5. There are so many Mac Lipsticks to choose from, but for a small guide i've chosen a few different shades which can work with different personalities:
Whirl: this shade is perfect for the grunge people, and makes for a perfect Kylie Jenner lip.
Cosmo: this shade is super universal, so if you are really not sure what sort of shade they will be into, get them this and they are bound to love it.
Candy Yum Yum: this super bright pink is perfect for the bold personalities who are out there.
Velvet Teddy: again, this is like cosmo, almost universal and would work well for anyone. This shade is a gorgeous nude and is perfect for an everyday makeup look, so you could gift it to anyone.
Ruby Woo: this hot red is for the more outgoing gals who dare to rock those bold lips.

6. This hat/cap is perfect for the people who love to go to the beach often or enjoy the outdoors/swimming. Super stylish too.

7. This tote bag is again, perfect for anyone. These bags are perfect for sleepovers or travelling as they are the perfect size, and everyone likes them.

8. These glasses are also perfect for the beach go-ers and basically any stylish girl. They're on sale at the moment too so i'd definitely buy some to gift!

9. This backpack is also on sale, and Herschel makes such good quality bags, which are't too big or too small. Get someone this if you're unsure and doing last minute shopping.

I won't be posting until the new year because I'll be away but make sure to follow me on Instagram for lots of updates! xx

bath bomb diy // celebrate with avery

hello everyone! today i have an exciting post lined up...

a bath bomb diy!! so there are many shops which sell bath bombs but it ends up getting pretty pricey if you use them quite often. so i thought, why not make a tutorial on bath bombs? you'll only need a few ingredients and i'm sure you will have them somewhere in your house. also, these are a great gift idea to use with Celebrate with Avery printables! they sell customisable party bags, stickers, labels, gift tags, basically anything you can think of! all you need to do is use their free online software to create your own label and then print it onto their products! super easy, i'll show you how...

lets get started!

Disclosure: I found the recipe and tutorial on A Beautiful Mess here so full credit goes to Emma and Elsie for it. However, I have modified the recipe to different units and the tutorial is in my own words.

ingredients needed //

1/4 cup of baking soda
2 tablespoons corn starch (or corn flour)
2 tablespoons citric acid
2 tablespoons epsom salt
1 teaspoon of water
1/2 teaspoon essential oil
1/2 teaspoon coconut oil
1-2 drops of food colouring

in a medium sized bowl combine and stir well the baking soda, corn starch, citric acid and epsom salts. If there are any clumps, whisk it thoroughly as we want a smooth mixture. Once you have done this, find a separate bowl to combine the wet ingredients (water, essential oil, coconut oil and food colouring). Make sure your coconut oil is not clumpy and if it is then put it in the microwave until it is melted. Once you have mixed all the wet ingredients together, pour this into the dry mixture (slowly!!!) be careful to not make the mixture start fizzing and if it does make sure you mix it thoroughly. Keep adding your wet ingredients to the dry ingredients. Once finished, put on your gloves and test the mixture- grab a small amount and squeeze it together. it should stick together in a clump. If its too dry and doesn’t stick well then add a little bit more water until it does. IMPORTANT: keep testing your mixture after adding more and more wet ingredients as we don't want it too sticky!

once your mixture is combined and of appropriate texture/stickiness, go ahead and put it in a mould. I simply used a mini cupcake tin and put glad wrap over the holes before scooping the mixture into the tray. compact your mixture into the tin and wait 15-20 minutes before taking it out. once you have removed your mixture (CAREFULLY, i cannot stress this enough!), place it on a tray to dry for a few hours.

after i did this i designed my own label using Avery's free software and printed it. this was actually so much fun as i got to experiment and try different things using their software. i used their party bag kits which you can find here and their round gloss labels which you can also find here. i really love how you are able to customise and create your own labels by layering photos or using text which is super cool for parties or just everyday use if you want something unique.

this is the end product of the gloss labels and the party bag kits:

see you next week for another diy! xx

be genki

hello gals!
all I really have to say is that its been a while! but this time ill try and post as often as possible because i love my readers.

anyway, lets get to the actual post/review!

I came across 'Be genki' on Instagram a while back and fell in love immediately with their range of products + minimal packaging. Plus, it is australian owned and made, organic, vegan and a bonus; cruelty free! Their packaging is ombre coloured and simple yet sophisticated at the same time. I was sent three products, the body oil, oil blend and herbal tea all from the 'Be sensual' range. This range is "designed to be used as a gentle aphrodisiac when you would like to evoke nurturing feelings of love. Utilising the properties of pure organic essential oils: Ylang Ylang, Geranium, Vanilla, Jasmine and Rose Otto." You can buy the Be genki products here

Im going to start by talking about the gorgeous oil blend. This blend is supposed to be used in an oil burner or bath. I used it in my bath recently and it leaves the whole room smelling absolutely gorgeous, it smells very potent in the bottle itself but once you put a few drops in the bath the scent kind of gets softer and it smells absolutely amazing; I can't exactly describe it in words (its that incredible!). The directions say that "with every inhale breathe in the natural plant scents. With every exhale breathe out your worries and any stress." I must say that this scent really helps you calm down and forget about all worries and would be especially good to use during exams to let yourself go.

Next up is the stunning body oil. Immediately, your senses become filled with a rosy sweet smell, not overpowering though. This body oil is recommended to soften your skin and is "perfect for helping to nourish dry, rough skin, especially after a shower/bath, post exercise, swimming or sunbathing." Its super soothing and I would definitely recommend this product. I was actually really surprised that this oil didn't leave a weird residue feeling on my skin but was absorbed quickly and the scent lasts for so long. I definitely fell in love with this scent after I first applied it.

Last but not least I will talk about the herbal tea that was included in my parcel. This tea is made from certified organic ingredients. The flavour of this tea is very unique yet it still tastes gorgeous. its definitely refreshing and useful for a pick me up- day or night. I'm a tea lover and this one is definitely one ill keep buying for my collection.

I'm very lucky to have been able to try these products and absolutely love them.

See you next week for another post! xx
